There are so many ways to package up your cookies for the special people in your life. Those people could include everyone that has touched your life one way or another, or to simply let them know you are thinking about them this holiday season. Neighbors, doctors, bosses, co-workers, child’s teacher, the janitor at their school, postman, UPS driver, or even a homeless person on the corner at your exit. These heart-felt and homemade gifts will truly brighten anyone’s day and really bring on the spirit of the holiday.
I found some darling and non-cheesy packaging materials on sale at Michaels last weekend. I feel like some of the pre-packed stuff looks a little tacky (that stays between us ok?) Some packaging is over-the-top, Christmassed-out. I think simple is better, not all agree. But that is how I operate. Your treats you put so much love into should shine and be the focus. But adding a little touch like a sweet note and an ornament just pizazzes it up a little. You can cater your ornaments to that person. If they like to bake, find a rolling pin ornament. If that person plays basketball at the club, find a basketball ornament. You get the picture. Make it fun and give it a personal touch!
PS- I tossed in some fresh cranberries at the end (not in first pic) to fill in gaps. Adds a nice, festive touch too!
