You guys…I wish I could take the credit for this but alas, I cannot. My husband is more than just a pretty face (he actually is super duper smart too). He came up with the ultimate cocktail. The Man-Fashioned. I bet you can’t get what the hybrid is? Okkkk I will tell you, Manhattan meets Old-Fashioned. Did anyone else just picture Mr. Big shaking the hand of a man from the 1920’s in a newsy cap on a dark street? Just me? Ok I will keep going.
My husband and I were home on a Saturday night, which is not out of the ordinary for us geezers with a 4 month old. He couldn’t decide between a Manhattan and Old-Fashioned so….well you can guess the rest. When he told me he combined the drinks, I shouted out MAN-FASHIONED! It was like the sky opened up its rays of light and was shining down on this magnificent cocktail.
We high-fived each other and figured we would become millionaires from our genius Man-Fashtioned cocktail invention. But we were also buzzed and nothing came of it that evening except for us crashing on the couch while watching The Good Doctor.
I can honestly say this Man-Fashioned is my new favorite cocktail. I love everything about both the Manhattan and the Old-Fashioned, so this cocktail is my dream come true.
