Blanching almonds is a super simple technique to simply elevate the flavor and texture of your plain raw almond. While the almond peel has lots of vitamins and nutrients packed in it, sometimes you want to fancy up your snack or salad topper.
How to blanch almonds:
Bring a pot of water to a boil
Toss in the almonds for 60 seconds
Drain the almonds and rinse under cold water to quickly cool them down
Squeeze each almond to remove the skin (the peel will literally pop right off)
Add to your favorite salad or eat as-is!
